Charleston Farmers Market 2020 | Selected artist poster art

In Fall of 2019, I was contacted by the City of Charleston to create artwork for the 2020 Marion Square Farmers Market Poster. I am sincerely grateful for the opportunity to have created this painting and I look forward to future seasons where we can celebrate the bounty of the Lowcountry together again.

There are many opportunities to join local, contact-free CSA’s. It’s important now more than ever that we invest in our local farmers and small businesses. Through that support we will make more sustainable and connected communities. Get your local groceries delivered weekly HERE.

Thank you @chascitypaper for featuring my artwork! Read article linked here.

This painting was inspired by diverse locally-grown Lowcountry ingredients which have earned their place as staples on my kitchen table. With our natural ability to eat a rainbow of foods straight from the farmers’ market, it was only natural to create a painting that highlighted the items that are special to Charleston. From persimmons, figs, and okra to shrimp and blue crab, the variety of edible colors found in our natural world never cease to ignite my desire to create.
