Earthly Delights: A Group Show

On April 17, 2021, Earthly Delights opened at The Miller Gallery in Charleston, SC featuring Charlotte Filbert, Kate Hooray Osmond and Rachael Nerney. You can learn more about the featured artists of this show on The Miller Gallery’s blog here.

Here is an except on my inspiration for this body of work; “Nerney finds endless delight in the farm-to-table element of contemporary dining, with the joyful presence of loved ones — something we’ve all been yearning for this past year.

She states, “Food brings me absolute delight and I find it endlessly fascinating to study. Through my artwork I explore the many ways it can be manipulated from its original form from the earth to its’ many recipe preparations. Food is my favorite reason for gathering, connecting with others, and discovering what links us together rather than sets us apart. It’s my favorite part about reuniting with loved ones. Whether we are both sharing pleasure from a meal created together or simply by the act of a shared indulgence. Food is simple, universal, and essential”.

Truly what a DELIGHT this show was. I was so wrapped up in the creative process, the celebration of it, and reuniting with my family that I am completely behind on sharing it with you!

For this show, I focused on the small joys in my life - things that have brought be joy in some of the longest days over this past year. While many of the works have since sold, there are still a few gems available!
