The Lowcountry Inspired Collection

I have a new collection of works on paper now available online with The Gallery at Sweetgrass!

I have been daydreaming about all of the seafood I want to eat. I thought the best way to share that love was to put these daydreams on paper. I love working on paper because it allows me to play with a variety of materials. In this collection I have used pencil, paint, paint marker, watercolor and colored pencil. An interesting note about paper is the heavier the weight, the more types of materials it can hold without giving.

Speaking on daydreaming… I’ve been thinking lots about dish-ware and interiors. There is a new restaurant that opened here in Charleston called Costa that features italian seafood fare. The images they have been sharing of their food look so so cool on all these different patterned plates!

The Gallery at Sweetgrass is a beautiful space located at Wild Dunes Resort on Isle of Palms, in South Carolina. It has been a pleasure working with the gallery since they opened at the resort a few years ago! From children’s paint classes to live paint events, we have created some beautiful moments and memories together.
